Taking place at the expansive and stunning wedding venue The Monte Bello Estate in Lemont, it was a perfect day for the start of a new life for Shannon and Adrian.
Just walking among giant oak trees and prairies with the birds chirping was enough to set the tone of a special day. I always treasure these moments knowing the day is about to get so much sweeter. For me as a Chicago wedding photographer, there is no better feeling knowing the importance of this day for a couple about to become one.
After Shannon and Adrian got ready, it was time for the first look. It was such an emotional moment, and there wasn’t a dry eye among those who were there to whiteness it. That feeling of pure happiness continued into the wedding ceremony as they said I do in front of their friends and family.
It was then time to celebrate the momentous occasion. Walking into a white wonderland of silky drapes and sparkling chandeliers overhead, the dance floor was ready for a party. The bride and groom held each other lovingly during their first dance to John Legend’s “Conversations in the Dark,” singing to each other, which was just so adorable!
With champagne flowing and smiles everywhere, the newly married couple enjoyed a thoughtful surprise from Shannon’s brother during the wedding reception. He had compiled a video of virtual congrats and well-wishes from loved ones all over the world who could not be present on their special day. Shannon and Adrian loved it – laughing and crying throughout the montage. Their wedding day was one not to forget and truly filled with memories to last a lifetime for everyone who was there. Including me.
